Station over run S&C - TR2009

Hi out there in Trainz land.

I know that I am not the brightest fish in the barrel and I would appreciate a bit of help with this problem.
I am running Settle and Carlisle using TR2009 and find that a passenger train overshoots the platform of the following stations Garsdale, Dent and Ribblehead. I seem to recall in my TR2006 days being able to adjust the stopping point at stations but I cannot remember how... Any assistance would be appreciated.
I was gifted with TR2010 and S&C for Xmas but soon found that my existing system was unable to give me a smooth picture so I purchased a copy of TR2009 specificaly for S&C which works but is prone to failing. There are so many updates and I have raised it to build 41844 (there is another but I don't want to go through the performance for a while yet!)
I will live with my current build until I have a day or so to spare!

Any suggestions to improve my S&C experience would be most welcome!

The performance of TS2009 and TS2010 should be about the same.

It might be worth while checking to see if the display is set to DirectX or openGL and try the other one. Typically DirectX gives better frame rates. Also native mode is typically faster.

Do you happen to know what your video card is? If you right click computer on the menu and look at properties it should give you the cpu, memory and which version of windows you have.

Thanks John

Thanks fellow Trainzheads,

I have now downloaded S&C service pack and also picked up the reason for station over run from the same site - I have printed out the explanation which I will read over the next few hours - I now have TR2010, TR2009 and S&C service packs. I think that I will have to reinstall them from scratch to ensure proper working. I have Win XP sp 3, AMDAlthon 64 2.01Ghz 3GB RAM the Graphics card is what it is as I cannot afford another... will update in a few days or so.
Thanks again for ideas......... Old Bill

Further thoughts

Further to my problems running TR2010 (jerky graphics) I wonder if I should save my pennies for a new graphics card.... I have searched dxdiag and find that I have a Nvidia Gforce 6200 Turbo _256 ........ looking through e-bay I find several other Nvidia 6200 with 512 upwards....... is it worth upgrading?or is it possible to fit more than one graphics cards in my system.. any thoughts would be appreciated
Currently I am considering reinstalling TR2009/10 and S&C as I am still getting an error report at all strange times!
Thanks any ideas in advance.

Upgrading to another 6x00 class card won't likely benefit much, that said, the 'turbo' cards don't actually have any video memory at all, they're kind of like an onboard video chip, but on a card, they use your system memory for textures and frame store.

You don't say what kind of video card system it is, but I would recommend upgrading to a 8600 or so at minimum, if your system uses PCI-e video cards then that shouldn't be a problem (as I remember it, the 'turbo' versions weren't available for AGP because they need the speed of PCI-e to use the system memory, which would imply that you have PCI-e).

Putting more than 1 card in a system is possible, but not with a card that old, and it wouldn't help with trainz anyway (in fact, there are some common problems with trainz and SLI). You would also need a motherboard that specifically supports SLI, and the chances are you don't have one of those.
