Speed Signs on the FEC

Hello all,

I've been slowly creating a portion of the FEC and cannot for the life of me track down what one of their speed signs looks like. Anyone have any pictures or documents or anything? I've even personally visited one site where it changes from 60 to 45 for a curve and observed nothing.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Thanks!

While I'm not very aquainted with the FEC, I do know that its not uncommon for there to be no speed limit signs. For example the NS line where I live has a curve where the limit drops from 49 to 40 and it has no speed limit signs. The train crew simply knows to slow down to 40 for that curve. For the most part when no signs are visible the crew rely on their knowledge of the route.

I tried for almost 3 hours today, and was unable to find any information on them. I even contacted people I know in the area, and that turned up nothing. Sorry I couldn't help you.

Trainman - that is what I have come up with too.

amrail - I appreciate the effort! Thank you! I am a member of the FEC Railway Society and thought to give them a shout today. They've indicated that there is basically no signage and the crew simply knows their route and can also reference it on track bulletins/charts or ops rules if necessary.

looks like invisible speed signals are in order!
