The control of max speed is in the engine config. It is given in metres/second I think.

Open CMP2 search for the loco you want to change, right click on it and select view dependancies the search for the engine file. When you find the engine file right click on it and select edit in explorer, double left click on the config file and it will open in notepad.

Or use custom content manager

Open the 'Manage Content' app in the autoplay menu. Find your loco (easier said than done) and right click 'Edit'. this will open a second menu, left click 'edit in content creator plus'. Hopefully this will bring up the loco assets all nicely itemised; scroll down and you should find "speedlimit". Change as desired, click 'file' and 'save', close the program. Return to Content Manager and right click the loco model, 'edit' and 'commit'. a dialogue will appear saying "committing changes" and hey presto it should all work.

some locos need to have their asociated "enginespec" dependency files also edited to give them more power to reach high speeds.

Thats how i always do that sorta tampering; trawling through config files is a pain.

Aka the first screen you see when you launch Trainz with the big Auran steam locomotive staring at you.

Cheerio,
Nicholas.

Changing Speeds

By if you mean changing the speed your trains can go under control by drivers you programme,on ts10:ee when you open the track menu there is a acsessories button, if you click this the menu changes so the acsessories are avaliable for choice,to change the drivers speed you just find a speed signal click on the track where you want it.
