Speed Limit Signs go missing

I am working on a new route and decided to change the speed limits from the default 40 mph. I place them and when I go to drive none are there and the speed limit is still 40 MPH. Go back to surveyor and they are on the map. I tried a bunch of different speed limit signs but none work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My bad. I guess I should stop working on the route after midnight. I was on the wrong end of the route looking for the signs. It is still all a grid work and it all looks the same. Duh.
