sp2 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP ME -i got sp2from build38599 to40040 work fine up to 38599 got new one because it has sp2 to fix missing wheels on sd70s ----problem=install would not complete and then crashed and would not launch trainz-went into bin launched repair content manager didnt work can i uninstall reinstall and run sp2 40040 from original disk # or bypass 38599-just reinstall and run it or will it not work since it says from38599-40040 -i spent 3 hours trying to fix it and the last 2 weeks building a new route for PAULZ TRAINZ I JUST BOUGHT 4 US LOCOS-WILL I LOSE IT ALL?THE ROUTH THAT IS trainz are on cd can loose -steve

I will try and find my wheels and help you.

First save your local folder in the root of Trainz2009. If you have installed any content or maps they will be in there. Just copy that whole folder out of there asap with copy and past and past that folder to a safe saved area. That way any work you might have done will not be lost. I went over a re read you problem, and yes do what I told you to do with that local folder. That local folder is the heart of your saved work so protect that local folder. Look in my computer, then C: drive then program files, open the Auran folder then open the TS2009 folder then you will see the local folder with the hash files. Those are your wok in progress. Save that whole folder. Then if Content Manager is working at all you can also back up your route with the Archive function and save to CDP function. If you Content Mgr is not working you still have the local folder to save your route and work. Remove Trainz 2009 completely and reboot your computer and completely remove the whole program and then reinstall Trainz2009 and use the correct update from your original version number that works a lot better than doing it from the 38599.
p.s.
Paul's Trainz should have been saved in your local folder. Please check to see if it does indeed have the hash files from Paul's Trainz in there before you do a complete uninstall. I do not want to you to loose you hard work. If that folder is empty then contact Paul's Trainz and ask him where else it may be saved. Some of these route creators protect their content to the point that you can not find them or save the parts.

The wheels may have not been fixed, may not be worth the trouble to worry about them. Please do not loose your work, as I know the pain of that. Just do a real good search on the forum first, it looks like you are at the maximum update 40040 and that is why you can not update anymore from there.

achually i fixed it but the save of content info was helpful for the future.i tried rebooting computer and got the sp2 to install it took many hours to do it -then when i launched the sim it said to exit run content manager-automatic repair itself this time it -both of them-cm-sp2-did what there suposed to do-relaunched trainz and everything is good nothing missing -ps my paulztrainz i have on seperate cd burned it so it cant be lost i paid $50 for 4 trainz in 3/4 types each again thanks-steve
