Who isn't? At least SP fans are. And besides they cheated and everyone knows it. Who else got bailed out by the gov't twice after going bankrupt? The big three auto makers were but that was before it got to that point. Although I still don't like it but I guess they're more important I guess.

I am also an SP fan, if I wasn't, I wouldn't have commissioned the locomotive that I did, but that still does not mean that I shouldn't respect the UP

You mean the Useless Pacific. Yeah I know. Unfortunately.

In regards to using the word "Useless" are your opinions based on being a professional in the railroad industry or that of a disgruntled railfan who's favorite railroad ceased to exist when he was only 2 years old? I was working for SP when you started walking and guess what? You have no clue what SP was really like! In addition I now work for UP and guess what? You have no clue what UP is really like! BTW because I work for UP does that make me useless also? And for the record the Union Pacific Railroad went bankrupt in the 1870's and again in the 1890's so you're holding that against them and it happened 104 to 120 years before you were born?

I have read many of your "Wild-E-Coyote Super Genius" posts and they are getting rather tiring and "useless". Why don't you try switching from "opinionated mode" to "listening and learning mode". It will help you in the long run.

To everyone else, I apologize for posting off-topic.

Well you have to earn it. It's just not given. Espee earned it. UP was handed it like they're entitled to it. Besides its just the truth. It hurts but it's necessary. Besides they needed us. Oh and the SP-CP partnership wasn't illegal and it was approved because it was in the interest of the public to have them together and the CP only ran from the bay area to Utah on one stretch of track and the UP claimed that was illegal and made a monopoly. But all along it wasn't about that, they were selfish and wanted the CP in order to compete with SP in California. So they're selfish, fraudulent, greedy, self-centered, and arrogant I might add. Even their employees complain about how they get treated. Only the money is keeping them around.

You could ask any SP or UP employee that's retired or active and they'll tell they rather deal with the SP than the UP. The SP would go out their own way and inconveinince themselves to help people. UP, not so much. I mean it's been well documented.

Also can`t forget the situation where Missouri Pacific ran Union Pacific for a while. They kinda came close to being a fallen flag in the 1980s. Mopac decided to keep using the Union Pacific name. So you can`t slam them they have there history of troubles...

Did you even read my post? I am an ex-SP/current UP Engineer so I happen to know a whole lot more about the SP and UP than you do!

You returned with more of your drivel and never answered my question. Like I said you could learn more if you were a listener rather than a cartoon coyote!

Have fun with your thoughts and opinions. Beep-Beep I'm outta here!

Well that's where you're wrong. I know a lot more than you think. I didn't buy Brian Solomon's SP book for no reason. Yes I knew at one point in 1993 the SP was using up to 300 leased locos a day to fix the motive power shortage they had. I know that most if not all of their engines were 20-25 years old on average or more and were covered in grime and suffered engine failure. I know the system was so desperate for locos they'd use any engine for their trains no matter what their original intent of service was. Thats why switch engines were found on mainline freights at times. And you could find leasers units on trains every single day. So yes I know what the condition was like!

Just found this on the DLS

REALLY: I grew up next to the SP Taylor yard and I am making my route based on the SP Los Angeles area operations.
Yes I know that I have a tread that says Metrolink but I have converted it back to the pre buy out operations that I grew up with.

SO long live the days of gray and scarlet...

why are you so concerned about crossings on a WIP? read above post 134 I am converting it back to an earlier time frame.
Hell I think I will put in Bushe Gardens in Van Nuys just for kicks. It was in operation when I was a kid and the SP main line crossed right through the center of the place.

It was located at Rosco and Woodly now home to the trailer yard for BUDWIESER. The old ped bridge still stands gaurd over the SP main.

Yeah just putting setting the record straight. I guess no one will be calling me a foamer or disgruntled rail fan. At least I know some facts. Well a lot but it's a bit much to say on this forum for this is for screenshots of SP triumphing. Not debating which RR is better for we all know the answer.

And I think you should stop gimmie-pigging. If you want something, do something about it rather than whinning that is doesn't exist, I'm not the only only who sick of hearing it.:n:
