Sound Issue

Hi there. Need some help please.

When drivng in trainz I often find that the sounds cut out on my locomotive's (especially the BR HST) or alter volume. If I have more than two loco's on a train then the sounds seem to share with each other (mixed sounds from each loco).

Any help please?

Once again, drop your sound hardwae acceleration down to about 3/4 if you have it set on full. Consider buying a quality sound card, such as a Creative XFi if you really want to deal with the problem.

What operating system are you using? What version of Trainz?

It's TRS2006
I'm running it under Windows XP

Centro: There are/were known sound issues with 06. Funny thing is, I went back to '04 and am experiencing the same sound problem.

Euphod: As far as quality sound cards go, mine cost $1295.00USD and has 6 Analog Devices Sharc processors onboard for professional recording. It has no effect on the intermittent sound problem at all. TRS'04 sounds fine
on my older machine running Win 2000. I'm begining to think this is XP related...at least in my case.

How do i drop my sound hardware accelaration to 3/4 then?

Start>Run>type:dxdiag>hit Ok, under sound tab use slider to change it to 3/4, then hit exit.

Hi with my new AMTRAK P42DC, the engine sound is louder than the horn. How do I switch it so that the Horn is louder than th engine?

Engine came from Protrainz,

Horn sound: ? If you want to know the horn I am using is the real P42DC horn from mtrak and VIA Rail Canada.

Its Kuid is:
160048:1159

Can someone help me please?

I changed video cards tonight and so had the sound problem where the horn/whistle could barely be heard outside the cab so I again reset the video card latency to 64. It was 200+. I used the "latency tool" program mentioned in this forum. problem solved, again.
