Sony MDRDS6500 Digital Surround Headphones

I have the SoundBlaster Recon 3D PCIe sound card....and am looking getting the Sony wireless surround headphones (Sony MDRDS6500 Digital Surround Headphones). I like to turn things up to get the realism....but unfortunately other people don't appreciate that.....thus the surround headphones seem to be a good option. Has anyone had any experience with these as far as how they will work/sound when using Trainz? Thanks in Advance.

I don't have experience with that particular headset but I did spend quite a bit of time researching surround sound headphones a few years ago.

As one reviewer pointed out part of the value of a good surround sound system is that moving your head helps localize sound sources, very useful for first person shooters and auto racing. But with headphones moving your head doesn't work so much. I came to the conclusion that looking for really high quality headphones with a good dynamic range was more important. (and comfort, you will be wearing these for hours)

Be forewarned that high performance headphones produce loud sounds, and hearing damage can happen (as with extended use of any headphone at high volume).

My freind had a pair of Senenheiser headphones and they sounded great !
