Ah, thanks so much, Eric. I never saw that because their page is very busy, filled with graphics, menu bars, windows, and such. Much quicker than uploading jpegs to my own website.
I want to work on several different layouts, because I'm interested in three different lines. Figuring out whether I even have the Trainz stuff available to do that comes first! Thanks to the incredible talent out there in the Trainz world, I'm amazed to find I already have most of what I need. (And hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to make the rest of it).
Thats an Awesome start Chamisa! I like the setting. Makes me feel like i am watching a small Logging railroad passenger train, make its run at the grade. Thanks for sharing.
I have to say when I started this I was interested in only these things: standard gauge, transition-era ATSF and GN, and narrow gauge D&RGW. But working on this little loop--originally intended as just an experiment, really--hooked me on the idea of little logging railroads. Being from the Northwest, I grew up with the sights and sounds (and smells ) of logging around me--and the smallness of the trains and track I find attractive, too, from an operations standpoint.
If you are looking for logging ideas, there are many excellent logging operations in the process of being made (or already have been made) throughout the forums. Slug Smasher has some excellent layouts.
