Slight delay to addons?

Ok, todays post about a "slight delay for Trainz 2009 addons"....
Are we talking about Murchinsson 2 and Seattle and Carlisle? (or how you spell it)

In my book these are already delayed more than "slight". As I recall, first release date was 5th of September. This begs the question what "slight" mean in Auranian? Or are this some other add-ons that are delayed and had their original releases scheduled to now?

I don't want to sound whiny but a date for Murchinsson and S&C would be nice. I think we are many who are waiting for this. As I see it, S&C seam to be the first content you actually can use in 2009s new graphic mode which make it very exiting.

I don't think any of us are happy about the delay, but I know that I would prefer it not being released till it is perfected. We all know the problems caused by programs being rushed out, take Ts2009 for instance!! John.

I suppose we could just bung it out the door to ensure that the dates are met, but I thought most people wanted to get away from that? I'll have a word with Auran, at least we'll have somebody to blame for all the bugs that get left in.

I am not at all advocating that anyone releases unfinished software but I find it a bit humoristic to come out with a statement of a "slight delay" now when the release is over a month late...:p

They will be out Soon (tm). :)
And yes, I'm also waiting, but I'd also really like them to be more polished than buggy. I also hope the staff at Auran gets over their illness soon!

Fine!

A discussion similar to this is going on over at the UKTrainz forum.:D I've posted my view there, and I still hold it here;
If Auran want to take time over their products, like they have done for all of them (*cough* TS2009 *cough*), then let them. Fine, we can all accept that the people working at Auran are REAL human people, who don't spend millions on anti-illness drugs so they can sit hard at work for everyone else for 24 hours a day. I am glad that the 'old' approach is being taken towards these, because as far as I'm concerened, TS2009 wasn't handled well at all. It was a one off and there should be none like it. So as I say, Auran and their 'associates' should be able to take as much time as they like over their products/projects to ensure that you all receive good quality, and that there are few if not no (well, that's not ENTIRELY possible) bugs, to make your playing experience as good as it can be.
So cheers to you all at Auran,:):D:wave: and by the way, the kettle's boiled! :p Get well soon all!

Since Auran has learned from past Boo Boos I expect we can be certain these layout "packs" will have no houses on the tracks.;)

That New Zeeland one looks interesting but I may hold out for the US route. Western Pacific Reno to Oakland circa 1955? :udrool: :o
:hehe:

A few weeks delay is of no matter to me, as I've been waiting for 10 months already, to run something in native mode. On a T6/T9 side by side comparison, with a layout even with broken graphics, T9 runs at twice the frame rate with a heavier graphics load.

These addons should have been included with WBE, instead of the broken mish-mash that was, but that is now water under the bridge.

There are 2 reasons for me to look forward to these addons. Firstly, to see something running truely in native mode, and secondly, to get my hands on some trees.

Auran should take some comfort from the whinges about late delivery, as it's obviously the sign of a popular product, but the most important thing is that peoples health comes before anything else, and if that causes delays, then so be it.

I can wait, no problem.

Cheers

I agree. Let them get well. People that work while ill are no good for the company or to anyone else in the office.

Last year when the flu went around the office, I along with other employees were sent home rather than infect the others. The company only had 12 people so this made everything work even slower.
