Is it just me, or is the new site horrible on the eyes? It is much worse than the 'black pages' of the DLS. Whole pages are such a deep black that there is no delineation of text areas in which to put order information. I had to resort to watching the mouse turn into the "I-beam" whenever it hit a text field. I won't even get into the difficulties I had while trying to order...

It looks the same in Internet Exploder as Firefox, so it can't be any of my add-ons. Even FF's "no-squint" couldn't make the pages palatable. I hope this is going to be adjusted.

My apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere but many searches didn't turn up a thread on it.

This is the kind of thing to report back to Tony Hilliam and the rest of the N3V team. They can work on this and improve the website.

Gosh, HiBaller, I thought they conveyed a bit of drama to the thing, and brought out the colors and detail well.

Looks like a whole new argument for the Forums.

I don't find it to be "deep black", and can clearly see the gray pattern in the black. I hesitate to suggest that the issue you are having may be monitor (or eyeballs) related. I am using Firefox.

Yes, that's what I see as well. In the case of the text fields I can understand your issue, as the black cursor on the almost black field is less than desirable.

You bet, John. Unfortunately, his thread can only be replied to if you're a poobah at N3V. :o I've submitted a chit to the "help" desk.

It's just difficult to read that's all. A real no no in web page design.

Unfortunately, some web pages are designed more to grab attention than provide a good experience. There seems to be a desire to make a page dramatic as possible at the cost of useability. Maybe, it is best to view the extravaganzas of drama with an old black and white Kindle.

The average person spend just a few seconds looking at a web page and if they don't like what they see, they quickly move on. This is not what you want when you are using a web page to attract customers.
