Signal Manual

Anyone know where I can download/print the "Signal Manual" ? I saw a reference to it on a thread somewhere where I found some info on placing signals, but I don't remember where. I am using Signal USA signals and am having problems with placement.

I have been there. That is where it refers to the Signaling Guide that was included with TRS CD/DVD. What is that?...and where can I find that. The tutorial does not address all the info I need regarding signaling.

The Signalling Guide is a PDF help file that used to be included with older versions of Trainz (such as 1.3 and 04). I have no idea why Auran suddenly stopped including it in the latest releases, as it is helpful for understanding how the default Trainz signalling works and how to use it effectively.

I do recall seeing a download link for it somewhere in an old thread, but I can't remember exactly. If worse comes to worst I could always find the file amongst my 04 documentation which is still installed on my system along with 2010 and send it to you if you'd like.

No problem. I found the Signalling Guide easily enough in the 'Docs' folder in my 04 installation.

The best signals available are norfolksouthern37's Searchlight or Safetran NS signals. They are as close to prototypical operating as anything available. Some can be programmed to give a green signal through several switches only when those switches are set as desired. the built-in signals are mere toys compared to these.
