Signal 2 L002 RHS

Hi all

I'm wondering if the above signal exists. There is a built-in LHS version but I need a RHS version. If anyone knows where to find one, that'd be great. Thanks.

Hi Ryan,
It is very easy to make a right hand version. If you let me know what version of Trainz you are using I will explain.

Hi Ryan,

Ok. Open CMP and find the item you want to change, right click on the item and left click on CLONE in the drop down menu. This will create a new item with your kuid number. In the window that opens next select VIEW IN MAIN WINDOW. In the main window right click on the new item and select EDIT then EDIT IN EXPLORER. Open the file CONFIG.TXT and look for a "trackside" tag A tag is the word at the extreme left of the list.
Alongside this tag there should be a negative number if it is a left hand sig. Just delete the negative "-" then look for the name tag, change the name tag to read "namexx RH" close and save the file, left click on the item again, select EDIT then COMMIT to re commit it and your done.

Cheers,

Hi all

I tested these tips on a US searchlight signal, worked perfectly. I then tried to clone the signal I wanted and also tried to make a QR_08 signal that displays Yellow/Red. I put a stretch of track on a grid, put 2 other signals and a train on it, and the signals acted perfectly. I then put the cloned signal in between the 2 signals and something registered - the 1st signal changed to green - but my new signal was invisible! Can anybody help me realise what I'm doing wrong?

if you're using trainz 2006, the built in signals are from 2004 and they work fine until you try to 'adjust' them, in content creator you have to right click on the name of the signal in the 'tree' menu on the left and click add mesh table, call it something like defult and chose the defult one. then right click on 'defult' in the tree and click 'auto-create' and then left click on defult in the tree menu and then tick the auto-create box. for some reason trainz defults to not automatically drawing the 'mesh' (3d model) and you have to tell it to automatically do this. if my 'instructions' dont make sense, let me know ;)
