SI3D Route Backdate

Guys, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but here it is anyway:

I am going to be "backdating" SI3D's route "Sodor Island-Complete" to TRS2006 standards. Any ideas on how to do this?

Have you loaded the original route in 2006 yet? You may have to change the build number in the config file, then let CM guide you as to what errors appear.

I've put it in, but when I try to go into the map in Surveyor to create a Session for it, it gives me a "No map selected" screen. I'll do as you say, though.

EDIT: Ok, I've changed the build number manually, now let's see if it works!

That error appears because the route's trainz-build tag must be 2.6 or lower.

Be aware though that if it uses dependencies that are not for TRS2006, you will run into further problems.

Thanks Shane... Hmm... That means I need to either upgrade my TRS to TRS2009 or later, or backdate those dependencies that are needed by the route that are not TRS2006 compatible... *Sigh* That's another thing I'll have to add to my Christmas List for last-minute online purchases! Thank goodness TS12 is available as a Digital Download! Although, with the high prices (even in US Dollars it's high!) my grandmother and aunt lois (who give me my money and gifts for any holiday), are probably gonna go nuts once they see the price for TS12!

Well, *sigh* wish me luck! I've gotta e-mail my Aunt Lois and try to convince her to let me upgrade! This is gonna be a monumental task! See you guys around!

You may not need TS12 to view the route (unless you want multiplayer as well), TS2009 or TS2010 may suffice.

Case Re-Opening (and Announcement of Intention to join SI3D).

Well guys, it looks like I'm gonna have to do this the hard way. I'm re-opening this case. I can't get another Trainz version, because as I said, I don't have any money, and I've caused my grandmother and aunt to become inundated with bills because I've used my cellular internet too much and they're having to pay up to $1,000 extra in overage charges so now they won't get me anything for my birthday (which, btw, is Febuary 17th), so I'm gonna have to take it on myself to "backdate" all the track, all the signals (which are mostly done anyway---[sorry SI3D, but I had to replace the GWR signals with low-poly versions of 'em {thank you for those, SirGibby} before I had my newest First-Class Ticket]) and pretty much everything else to TRS2006 standards. Also, I don't know whether this is the right place to ask this, but I need authorization to re-publish the route after it's been fully "backdated". I'll gladly e-mail the route to you, along with some early versions of other "Thomas & Friends" models I've been working on, based on creations from other people. I'll get authorization to modify their works shortly.

Bit confused here, do you mean new models based upon those from the discontinued Mstnoodle/UKBL ranges?

Thank you guys for all your help; I've successfully convinced my grandmother and Aunt to purchase TS12 for my birthday, and it's currently in the mail (should arrive either today, tomorrow, or sometime in the next 3 weeks.)
