They are Jankvis' trees from the DLS. Very nice trees. In fact, all the vegetation in those shots would be JVC assets.

#1. Plated Seaboard E7a. Yes the Seaboard actually did this in the early 60's to lower maintainence costs.

Obviously it didn't work as this was only applied to one unit.
