Show off your reskins!

I still remember all the crap I made back in 2021 and 2022. Looking back, I see a lot of arrogance on my part, especially when dealing with criticism. Being older now, I've gotten better at reskinning and managing my reaction. I'm glad I'm where I am today, and having just learned kitbashing I expect the quality of my reskins to get much better. Thanks!
Hey, we all gotta start somewhere man. I still haven't figured out kitbashing.

I haven't reskinned anything in a good while (all my Trainz content is still on my retired PC while I figure out my new Mac setup), but some of my early work (not counting TRS2006 paint shed stuff) was... rough... to say the least. I need to get my content moved over and get a gray-market copy of Photoshop working again.

Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see what you do in the future.

I can relate to that,t I'm a retired modeller nowadays, some of my old stuff is horrible, I never consider releases these days and delete it

The perfectionist in me will, quite unfortunately, never let small things go. Been spending some time re-doing the sides of ALL of my fluted steel coaches (close to a hundred), and I must say, a little bit of gradient makes one hell of a difference. On the left is my old standard fluting texture; on the right, my new one

Fitted my Santa Fe #5000 with a sealed dual-beam headlight, similar to N&W 611 and NKP 765. Trying to decide if I like the look or not.

And a shot of the 5000 out on the road today...

The benefits are better visibility (a huge plus if you ask the 611 crew), and built-in redundancy. The negatives are that it doesn't look like her original headlight. Though that would be the latest in a list of things I've "modernized" the 5000 with (continuous blowdown, 2 extra dynamos (for power to the coaches, 2nd used to charge the PTC batteries for use on roads where PTC is active)). What do ya'll think?
