Coming soon to a DLS near you...

This is done on Dave Snow's new GP15-1 model. I plan on coming back to this some time and doing some weathering, and maybe one in the horsehead scheme.

Some people have absolutely no respect for a license, whatsoever, and even if there is no license, they do what ever they want, which is OK on your own PC ... redistribute it, or give it away, and that is illegal, and wrong

amtrak NPCU reskin

Just pointing out things to fix not trying to be super critical despite you not having a legitimate license or the fact that earlier you were trying to give it out
Band shouldn't be there, start from scratch and you wont have the issue
Amtrak logo's are wrong size and in wrong location on both counts
Font is wrong location and wrong style IIRC helvitica or Arial are what should be used
Nose and side stripe dont match up nor should it extend all the way to the back of the cab (again if you start from scratch instead of painting over the PHIII units you wont have this issue)
there aren't loco numbers on the nose they are up in the normal spot, there's a way to fix this but I cant remember how >.>
nitpicking here but you should also have the red safety stripe on the bottom

MILW SDL39, the first of many flavours... there never can be a standard MILW orange colour, eh?

Cheers,
SM

Fantastic skin.

Orange, whites and yellows seem to be the three colours most affected by weathering, and have the most variation.

Umm, how did you get to reskin a very well detailed F40PH into that? Please PM me with how you did it. I am still learning how to reskin but I want a special Metra F40PH to be made for me. Because If I made one, it would look like a pile of s***. Please excuse the language to anyone who is offended.

Trainz_12_fan_100: I used Jointedrails Amtrak F40PH and used its bump map. This video should help, please don't rerelease any part of your reskin without permission from the owner of the asset.

this, have been meaning to get around to doing GCRX F40phr's but I can only do 2/3 because the one is fully extended out with no walkway for the steam generator >.>

Lego: That SDL39 looks pretty darn good!
Thanks! I'm quite pleased with the outcome of these so far. I've got 2 or 3 more to do.
Numboards do need a fix (as do classlights) but that shouldn't take too long, provided a matching font is found. The real one is a 'payware font'!

Today i finally sat down for...about 4-5 hours and re-skinned a locomotive, somethigng i've wanted to do, but have been to lazy/unmotivated to do until now. Not at all as difficult as i had originally thought(already knowing how to use GIMP/MeshViewer really saved me time.)
