TVRM Carriages
After returning from my trip behind 4501 at TVRM I have finally finished my versions of my favourite carriages at TVRM. Several have been in the works, but not ready to be shown for a while. Please excuse the background lacking texture and colour, and the fact that this is a route set in California, not SOU country. All the carriages are in TVRM's darker red paint of the 1970s and 1980s after the roves went back to black (after the weird stint in silver).
First up, the 1000, an ex-Southern Railway 80-seat clerestory heavyweight rebuilt as a turtle back roof with 2 lounges. A 3 window smoking (at the front) and 2 window at the rear. Both include a washroom cubicle, so the 3 window lounge has 4, and the 2 window has 3 windows total.
Next is TVRM's classic Pullman #97, the "Clover Colony" built in 1927.
And finally, my favourite carriage at TVRM, and the most elegant, ex-B&O #98 the "Eden Isle" of 1917.
Originally built as a Pullman, the 98 was likely rebuilt to a business car around 1936 with 3 bedrooms (A&B share a bath, and then C has a Murphy bed for the secretary.) After being wrecked in 1966 (the rear truck detached and is only held on by the carriage's weight/gravity.) She was retired and sold to an individual who later donated her to TVRM, where she was given the name "Eden Isle". Her red mars light is currently broken so her historic kerosene marker lamps are in use.
Enjoy,
Saturnr
