I was shocked no one has ever made copper products (copper pipes for plumbing, copper circuits for PCBs, or even copper wire spools for electrical industries etc) in Trainz. There is copper ore as a product load, but no processing exists nor does a final product, and yes I have looked. Due to this I want to learn how to build these products to load and unload for industries (which would include using industry tracks with my added products); in addition to setting up the rolling stock to accept the new products.
For now the product would not be a visible item due to the fact I am not a 3D modeler. I would put a simple icon image to represent the product with a well defined label which will appear above the applicable rolling stock. I don't know what existing commodities out there would aid me in this (nothing I use comes close). Stability is also key. The last thing I need is my idea crashing Trainz causing me to just give up and never attempting making things for the game.
To be 100% honest I find the Wiki more frustrating to read due to the age of many of the articles and in many ways the wording is more like a PhD wrote it.
Now if any of this exists on the DLS, I no longer have a FCT and am not downloading slower than 80s and 90s dial up (yeah I am that poor financially). I want to do this myself.
Theory:
Process raw copper ore (skipping other things like nickle or tin due to commodities not existing on the DLS)
Industry processing (I use the JR Multi II track)
Makes:
Copper Pipe (Plumbing)
PCBs
Copper Spools of Wire (Electrical)
Copper Sheet Coils
Rolling stock:
boxcar
Nice to have if I was a 3D modeler)
coil car
flatbed
I know I could be over my helmut in understanding how to do any of this.
