Why in the Hell dose the server go down every weekend???????????????????????????????????
Is N3V waiting for their contrect to run out before we get a better server????????????.

Good Morning Danny5
I have just checked the iTrainz system here, and was able to access the Trainz Chat function. As such, it does appear that the server is currently online.

If you have not got access to these functions, then please check your connection, as the server is online at this time.

Regards

Wel all i know is that 3 of us was into a MP session and the massage came up about the session had stopped and if i wanted to conutinue to play.
Now my internet didn't go down because i was on team speak and the other got the same massage.
So 2 & half days of getting things running and sorted thing out all went down the drain.
And that why people stop running MP.
The server gose down to offen on the weekends.

I have just checked the iTrainz system
Did you also check the server log?
Please tell me you at least keep a log running that shows when the server is up.

If it is working now, then that does not mean is has not been down. If the provider kills connections every week at the end of the weekend for example, then that might just explain why all MP keeps failing near the end of it, yet it is back up a few moments later when the complains have rolled in.

I honestly don't know what's the advantage of buying a FCT. I spent this whole weekend trying to download and most of the time the "server appears to be full. Please try again later". In this very moment, I am downloading at 5.93 Kbps. Doesn't worth the FCT !!

I had no problems with downloading the stuff I needed this weekend.
Sounds like you did not activate your FCT and restart your CM with a clean list.

Whatever your problem is, I doubt it has anything to do with the multiplayer server that Danny5 was talking about.

Hi All
I don't personally have access to the server log (I'm not the admin, I simply report the issues to him), however I actually checked the server within a few minutes of the report being posted by Danny5 (note, I didn't reply for a short time, as I also had to check a few other things at the time). That doesn't mean it couldn't have dropped out momentarily, however at the same time the server was also back online within a few minutes of the report.

It should be noted that if the host of the session has a drop out, it will close down the entire session. The dropout could be at any point between the host and our servers, and may not even effect other software depending on how the other software connects... It's quite possible you won't notice the dropout on a VOIP program, but it may be enough to drop the session in Trainz.

Well then, would it be possible to make Trainz use something less vulnerable to momentary interruptions, a la VOIP?
