Serial Number won't "take"

OK, before I get blasted here, I have already searched the other threads and read all the FAQs and the sticky threads, which tell me to go to the Support Forum for tech/admin questions like this, but you must have your serial number already accepted to use the Support Forum.

So here is the problem... I purchased Trainz 2012 for Mac yesterday from the MacUpdate site and have tried again and again to input the valid serial number into your registration page, but it comes back with the error "Not a valid Serial Number." Another person posted on the MacUpdate web site that he is having the same problem. I'm stuck with no resources to fix this other than here. Pls help.

I would strongly advise you contact Helpdesk using the link above.

The Forum cannot deal with issues involving serial numbers not working properly.

Probably the most common error is using a serial number for one game and trying to register it for a different version. For example the serial number registration page defaults to Trainz Simulator 12, I have Trainz Simulator 12, I try to register and it keeps telling me that's not a valid serial number. Reason for that is I don't have Trainz Simulator 12, there are four different versions including "Railroad Simulator powered by TS12", "Railway Simulator powered by TS12", and the anniversary edition - since I have the anniversary edition I have to select that one since the other three won't recognize the serial number, it's not in their databases.

Try clicking the down arrow and select Mac if that's what you have instead of Trainz Simulator 12.

SUCCESS!!!

Thank you sniper271, you gave the answer to my dilemma. I wasn't dropping the list down before because of what it said above, it said it INCLUDED Trainz for Mac!

I'll post this solution to the other guys at MacUpdate who are having the same problem. Thx again.
