Seemingly Random Stop command.

Ill be going through my route im working on and ill try go this way or that and eventually I come across a "stop" signal. Now most of the time it will tell you whats wrong, an AI has the track, or a switch is not directed correctly- but im coming across these with seemingly no reason behind them. I stop at the signal- look several signals ahead and make sure the switches are aligned, ill be the only train- but for some reason it does not want to let me go. - Usually this happens if I decide to backtrack a bit, say i go into a siding come back out and go back the way I came, usually, but not always where i come across it. - my signals are typically 3/4 of a mile to 3 miles apart unless situation warrants closer- never more then 3 miles in any extreme. - I am not using directional markers; it happens from open line to open line- with further signals in both directions. - One thing I did notice is that when 1 tells me to stop- they all will, the one after it will say stop etc.

Something im missing or does the game get in a little tissy when you try to backtrack after reaching a destination? (TS12).

Welcome to Trainz!

You might want to register your product so it shows up in your timeline. A Lot of people here won't answer you if your not registered.

As for your problem, Is the problem random? Maybe post a screen shot of where it happens for us to see.

My product is registered- the website dont show it- purchased on steam, have a 1st class ticket for the downloads even which has been great. - the only thing that does not know its registered is this forum. Maybe because I got it on steam? - im registered, thats all that matters. I can even screen cap the purchase from steam if i need to.

That didnt help- as I said im registered.. i see it already on here/there. It shows me my CD key and ive had no issues with using the site or downloads or anything. Im perfectly fine, your the one who said im being snubbed- ive not seen any issues. Everywhere I can see, it shows me as being A-O-K

The next step is to put in a help desk support request (also known, very appropriately, as a "ticket"). The link to the help desk is at the top of this page.

So I'm just trying to help you, like pware said, contact the helpdesk if necessary... Fix this;

Turn on the messages. - Found under the wrench.

When you drive if you get a stop like this, a message will appear. You could have a broken spline point, a missing junction lever, or track disconnected from an industry.

How to find these things:

Drive the train yourself. If you come across a road crossing for example, and you derail, you found it! Go to Surveyor, edit the route, fix, and then recheck for more errors. If you get the junction missing lever message, you need to walk the line in Surveyor very slowly and look at the tracks, searching for broken tracks is like this too if it's not easily found. Sometimes you'll start to lose focus and your eyes will glaze over as you search for a missing junction lever (switch).

For spline points, ensure they're all yellow - or level. If there are any white ones, check that the track is actually joined. These can be difficult to find sometimes.

I know you're registered because we've PM'd on stuff, but you need to get that fixed anyway. Sometimes the Steam registration servers don't talk well with the N3V servers so people have this problem.

Hi
malaru,

the situation you describe seems to fit the problem which is dealt with in the thread:
https://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?142780-AI-Drivers-act-different-now

This thread has its last post on January 28th, because in the meantime N3V is working on repairing.
They try to solve it with the version which is the subject of the currently running Beta Test.
This test was announced with the last newsletter. If you feel so you can join the beta test Team
- either here at the bottom of http://www.trainzportal.com/News/view/tane-new-external-beta-ready
- or here https://forums.auran.com/trainz/content.php?165-Next-round-of-External-Beta-Testing-commences.

Otherwise: If the measures suggested by JCitron don't help - wait with patience.

Note that you might not have access to some links / some forums as you don’t show as having a legal version of the game, so I strongly suggest you to get that fixed. As others have mentioned: many people ignore your posts if you don’t show having a version of the game registered as they don’t want to help people without a legal version.

Everybody happy now? I have a little nitch on my d__n screen name now. - yip yip. - the problem is with my driving a train not the AI, the ai dont seem to have this issue- its when im running a train myself to look for problems (tracks too close together, unrealistic turns, etc) - it will just say stop. and thats all- no messages either.

Please supply us more details about the situation your engine is in.
Show the switches (and there state) and signals ahead.
