Does anyone know who created the mesh files for these SD40-2s? Sorry if they're small. Also, Can anyone send me a blank mesh file for me to reskin? I'm using 2006 btw.
Most paint programs have in their menu somewhere this option. Not knowing Gimp but using PaintShopPro and PhotoShop, both have that option under "color" or similar in their menu.
Greyscale is the conversion of any texture with the colour component taken out to leave only the shades between black and white.
Hard to tell from such small images, but looking at the various skins I am pretty sure you have at least three possibly four different models there, and you don't need access to the mesh to reskin anyway. What you really want is the original psd (or whatever) image which will save you recreating all the different layers required. Some creators will pass them on, others won't...
Hello Lego, all of the locomotives are reskins of Prjindigo's content.
Having a FCT, check all boxes back to Service Pack-3 Content.
Enter Prjindigo in the search box & check "username." You will see 9-items, a virtual fleet of General Motors EMD models awaits you.
You can learn a lot working with these files, like how to convert PM-2IM, using Pev's tools. You will also need to convert texture.texture(binary) images.
You can run these through Content Manager...don't forget to make a screenshot!
Those were the bomb back in TRS2004 days, but they were made for exactly that...a program designed for low power computers. If you put the time & effort needed on the texture map, you could be proud of your results.
