Scripted stations

Why does the train stop at the beginning at a scripted station instead of the middle or end using navigate to. The poor passengers have to walk over the rails to board. is their any way around this?

Because that is where the station mark is. You need to follow the navigate to with the load command. The train will then move up till the engine is just pass the platform.
