Script Problem

Today I tried opening the script of a railcar I have downloaded but the CM would say script could not be opened and this is on multiple assets I have is there a way to correct this and can someone tell me whats going on?

It may be an encrypted script or perhaps in a library. Basically it means that the author doesn't want you to mess with it.

but it says error can load script for editing

It may well be that the asset doesn't have a script. Not every single one does.

What are you using to edit the script file?

Notepad does not open the file but notepad ++ will.
