I need to learn how to make good screenshots...
The rolling stock in the pic, (if any) does make a difference but the rest of the scenery makes or brakes the scene. (in my opinion anyway) Getting exceptional screenshots is the same as real photography. The angle of the shot, lighting, what's in the foreground and background. The big difference is your creating what your taking a pic of so you have control of what is in your picture. Many times it's not the quantity of objects in the scene. It's the placement of those items that make the difference. Also using multiple ground textures and blending them to look more realistic helps a lot. (very seldom do you see a consistent colored ground cover in real life) It take some people longer to make exceptional screenies and some just don't have the ability. But don't give up trying and don't get discouraged.:)

I have to agree with Bill. I realized after I entered my screen shot that I had better Penn Central locos made by Joram and most of the other rolling stock with the exception of the coal hoppers and PC caboose were low quality. It is kind of hard to find high quality box cars for the fallen flags because it seems that content creator are not interested making that stuff anymore. That's not to say I am not greatful for what I got. However I still got two votes because of the details. Cambell5149 screenshot is far superior because of the lighting. I will have to work on that myself. One clue is to model what you know. My screenshot is of an actual place about 14 miles from my house.

Bill and Sethmics gave some great advice. Even for me, making scenery look realistic is difficult. I suppose some people here who have supercomputers :hehe: have an advantage but that's not to say we can't make good screenshots either. I have much to learn as well...

Great advice guys!
