Yes – it’s texture. The main one is “just grey”, kuid: 3801:21008, but it could be any colour as long as it roughly matches the sky. The ‘reflections/shadows’ under the bridge are “Ballast new”, kuid: 36713:21502, and those under the mill at the top are, ”mud01” kuid: 149987:21411.

The other ‘reflections’ under trees are various blobs of green (forest I think - type/colour chosen to match each tree). Best to use a very quick tap of colour, see where the blobs land – they will vary a bit along the line/angle of the baseboard squares - then slightly move the tree/object afterwards for best effect.
