Thank you very much to those who voted for my entry and the kind remarks.
I almost didn’t take part because I thought I’d missed the deadline. Then I realised that it was 12:25 British Summer Time, which made it 11:25 UTC. Got it in with thirty five minutes to spare.

The image is from a route I've been working on for some time. I built it from scratch (no DEM because it’s imaginary), as a representation of the northern Italian lake and mountain areas.
In trying to improve on frame rates I've been giving it a bit of a makeover, reducing the number of individual assets and deploying textures wherever possible. The distant buildings are few and far between, but give just a hint of there being a village out in the distance here and there.
The mid and far distant mountains have only three textures. They've been rotated and varyingly scaled to provide a more believable terrain with the undulations of the baseboard terraforming providing additional depth with the Trainz automatic shading.
Still a work in progress!
