Screenshot of the Week: Nov. 21, 2010, to Nov. 28, 2010

I have one. It is showing some work I have been doing. I have been upgrading old locos to TC3 standards, by replacing the smoke, sounds and e.specs. For thomas and Thunderbolt, I used the 2cyl Stephenson sound and especs from the Jinty, combined with synchronised smoke. They are on my favourite route, the Lickey Incline. If I get permission, I will release the Brake Van, which is in the colours seen in the movie "The Titfield Thunderbolt". I would like to know if there is a flatcar like the one in the movie, so I can make the coach body on the flatcar, as in the movie.

So, anyway, here's the pic:

Enjoy!

awesome man! I hate to ask this, but where'd you get the thunderbolt? or is it just a reskin of the Lion which we already have?

PS the Thunderbolt needs to have Sam and Ollie on the footplate...

It is a reskin of the Lion, and is avaliable on the DLS.

The Missouri River Valley's 2-8-2 #50 simmers quietly in the slowly decomposing engine terminal of its adopted home road. she seems oddly at peace.

I was wondering about that. Thanksgiving week as well!

What happened to the previous week’s results?

This is a bye week for Screenshot of the Week. I know it's lazy, but I wasn't in the mood to make a thread last Sunday. This weekend though, there will be a new one.

I understand that. My question was if we are going to have a vote thread on this one?

Steve.

I know this thread is a lot of work. I wouldn’t want to take it on – but you have. And I respectfully suggest that that brings with it some responsibility.

A line from your OP, my emphasis in red:

Have fun, and as always, please keep it friendly.

I always thought entering was fun, as is voting.

Fair do’s to abandon a week of entries, with prior warning. However, some members do make a big effort creating and placing their work in this thread.

There’s nothing very friendly about abandoning the voting when entries have been submitted in good faith.

Failing to publish results has been another feature this year. I won’t bother to post the links. I’m sure you know where they are.

Maybe we should transform this contest in screenshot of the month... Like this it won't be so much trouble. Then, at the end of the year, we can vote for the screenshot of the year where all the past winners will compete...its just an idea :o
