Looks like Felix and Iannz are not alone on this one. Someone started something so here's another two cents on T:ANE....

I just imported my US layout with the swamp in it from TS12, I don't think I'll continue with it though, there is just to much to fix. Apart from change in water colour and environmental settings, and replacing trees, there is no post processing. The swamp part is probably the most complete of all the layout. Here is just the swamp bit with track island-hopping through it and a small town and yard mid-top.

Hello, hard to beat TANE, so, my only chance is a cloudy sky, over a Snowy landscape : CFD first snow "Le Mastrou" before 1968.

The Classic Rio Grande- Narrow Gauge Bumble Bee

There's the good old Rio Grande with everyday diesels, and then, there's the classic Rio Grande that everybody reminisces to.
In August of 1940 K-28 #473 (fresh in bumblebee) pilots a K-37 leading a long train out Alamosa, CO.

I am attempting to recreate this photo

I would have done NG but I don't have any good routes!:hehe:

NG Rollins Pass just doesn't look right to me.

*Whispers* Odd looking NZR K Class loco you have there pulling those NZR carriages. :hehe:

:D :D The NZ government is bringing back the steam and ditching the diesel and electric. Electric cannot run with the hard frost on the wires and diesel too expensive compared with the coal which is in the country. The Ka's and Ab's are getting a makeover. The Kanawha is on loan......................

Believe me? :hehe:

Hell yeh, Im all for that. Hopefully that will mean Mainline Steam can bring their South African Garratt out and run that on the mainline also.

Oh yours is great too, I love those D&RGW Geeps, I frequently use 3103 on my D&RGW local in Trainz. And speaking of NG looking right it took me over 3 hours to get the camera in the right spot ( and it still could be a little more to the right but Trainz randomly crashed then after I took the photo I entered. I included a little more train for viewers to see as well.) The steam and smoke took forever to cooperate.

Sometimes Trainz just doesn't want to be co-operative, does it?:p

I actually prefer the DRGW diesels. The NG steam doesn't really feel like NG to me. It feels too "mainline". For me, NG should be a 2-4-2T with tools, rope, and barrels on the pilot pulling 3 disconnects with link and pin couplers with a shack built on a bogey at the end.

Sorry for the double post but it's been awhile since I last posted.

The Dereford Eastern "Stealth Job" is waiting for the conductor to finish brushing the snow off the ground with the switch broom so the tow truck (not in frame) can pull the car out of the ice. I wonder what the engineer on the step is looking at? This train is called the Stealth Job for a few reasons.
1) It operates at night
2) It is pretty short and fast (A heating oil tank car, a sulphur tank car, and 2 empty flour hoppers, a transfer caboose and 2 engines)
3) Some crossings it crosses are silent at night.
4) It usually has 2420 or 2421 which are U-boats, and U-boat is a term for submarine.
