The year is 1998 and NY&A RS31 roars through East Williston bound for Fresh Pond, carrying two spacers with a brace of three bombs.

This one may need some explanation...

Pagosa Junction, formerly known as Gato, Colorado. Originally built in 1880 on the Denver and Rio Grande's San Juan Extension, it was an important division point on the Pagosa Springs branch. In 1968, the D&RGW abandoned their rail line between Durango, Colorado, and Chama, New Mexico, rendering Pagosa Junction disconnected from the railroad. Hidden on a Ute Indian reservation, it survives today as a monument to the railroad, mostly preserved. The depot is long dismantled and forgotten; the Gomez Store on the western edge of the yard has been moved; but the station area in Pagosa Junction is still preserved.

Does an abandoned/dismantled station count? :p

Set up at Wisconsin Dells...We wait for the Empire Builder of Amtrak's train number 8 to roll on by to make its daily stop

'Bout time I brought something to this thread...

Early evening and the passenger from Eynes' Creek via Cooder Downs pulls into the curved platform at Denniston. 6013 gets the green ahead of 6007 on the coal run from Denniston to Cooder Downs but 6007 won't be far behind just as soon as 6013 gives up the staff at Skipton.

Cheers

A member of the track gang seems more interested in me taking pictures than watching the end of a loaded coal train bound for Keystone Power as it passes the freight depot on the Pleasantville Secondary in the late afternoon. Notice the house track that is barely visible in the weeds and mud in the foreground.
