Hmm, an old french dictionairy states: "terrain de manoeuvre".

Hmm, I think you're wrong about that, but I agree, a lot of threads seem to be american oriented.

To get back a moment on the word "Yard", I presumed it's short for "shunt yard", or "shunting yard". So I took a dutch - french dictionairy and looked up the dutch word for this, "rangeerterrein". Now, out of curiosity, what's the swiss word (sweizerdeutch, wrong spelling probably:hehe: ) for this?

There are many websites for political discussions. The one here is about Trainz. The political sites do not discuss Trainz and the Trainz site does not discuss politics hopefully.

It is like the agreement between the pizza place and the bank. The pizza site does not accept checks and the bank does not make pizza.
