Screenshot of the Week: 6/5 to 6/12 (Warning: potential for large shots)

I think I see now, the "edit" button appears on other threads in other forums, but obviously this "competitions" forum does not allow editing our posts.

So now I want to edit the post above to at least remove the image, and my "Edit" button is gone!
"This is a historic occasion", to quote somebody from the ministairy of silly walks.
The first task for our new moderator here is a fact. :hehe:

Greetings from cloudy Amsterdam,

68083 leads a (very) short train towards Sheepswell.

We are deep in the Mojave Desert. All is quiet. In place of noise, we have the stifling heat and musty, dry smell to keep our senses occupied. Suddenly, our ears pick up something. It sounds like...a rumbling, a far-off rumbling. Then a horn is heard. There is only one possibility now. As the rumbling gets louder, louder, we start to hear a screeching sound. Soon, when the sound starts to become almost unbearably loud another sounding of the horn makes it louder, and a second later the noisemakers come into view, a trio of BNSF GEs. But as they draw closer, and sound for the many private grade crossings that are surprisingly dense in this barren wasteland, we discover that only one unit is running, and is clawing its way up the 2% grade, hauling 2 silent sisters and a long empty intermodal string. As it draws even closer, we hear the prime mover screaming in notch 8 even louder than ever, and the wheels slipping. Then in an instant, BANG! The engineer quickly turns the power all the way down, stops the train, and goes back with a fire extinguisher to see what blew. And here is the moment frozen in time, much like the desert itself.

Okay; WHAT THE HECK?
I viewed the thread at my place of "work", and the picture didn't show. I replied as above, but cancelled the reply thinking that it may show when I got home, and it does. The thing is, when I cancelled my reply, it ignored me and posted it anyway. So I thought I would just look at it when I got home, which I have. So now I want to edit the post above to at least remove the image, and my "Edit" button is gone!
I should mention that when I arrived at home, the power must have gone out, so I reset all the clocks, then had to recycle the power on my router and my modem, but... this is just too strange!

My apologies to everyone for wasting your time!:(

Sounds like an issue that N3V might want to look into if members can't edit their own posts in this forum. Unless I'm supposed to hang around here more often and take requests by others to edit mistakes out of their posts. :o (I suppose I could edit that quoted image out of your post if you really want me to, Ed.)
