Screenshot of the Week: 4/1 to 4/15 (Warning: potential for large shots)

Edit: Back, with a shot from a better angle that is closer to the picture I think. I can safely say I spent about 4times more effort adjusting the loco on invisible track so I could get the zoom right then it did to set out the scene! You could loose a substantial amount of hair getting everything exact I suspect... haha. The tree in the foreground on the left is to tall... Also can I add this is all the Pittsburgh Line- no objects were added just for this photo :) for anyone interested --> http://hostthenpost.org/uploads/c5c2c1104afc856cc5c76e34a59cac54.jpg

Ron, nice shots, but the "Photo recreations" theme means recreating a real photograph as a Trainz screenshot, and posting both the real photograph (or a link to it) and the Trainz screenshot recreation. Off-theme screenshots will have their vote counts halved in the voting results. I am unable to close submission at this moment, so you have a short time (several hours) to change your submission to one that fits the theme before submission is closed.

Regards,

Zachary.

Hallo,

very nice screens and real photos from all of you!!
It was quite hard to find nice photos from the Milwaukee Road section I am working on.
I picked that one below. It showes the yards at Othello, Wa looking from south to north.
The whole area has not been finished yet as I still have to create a lot of industrie structures and so on.

Your's TUME :)

Submission closed. The voting is here.

While on the subject, How about a railway painting-to-Trainz?

Hmmm, maybe what I should do is revisit this theme sometime in the future as a "Photo or painting (or any other art) recreations" theme.

The only thing is that I have concerns about copyright relating to the direct display of copyrighted works used as the source for the Trainz screenshot recreations in submission posts. Most of the submissions for this week directly display the source photos in the post, and many of the photos are copyrighted. With paintings, if it's not in the public domain, it's likely copyrighted.

Of course, there is the possibility that the direct display of such images for the purpose of a screenshot contest here may be fair use. I will have to do some research on this subject before coming to a decision.

Regards,

Zachary.
