On the Harbor Master railway, somewhere on the West Coast, an aeging ex-CNR GP-9rm, converted back to cab control after years as a remote-control switcher, rumbles through the switches as she leaves the engine terminal for her daily chores. She may be fifty+ years old, but there's still life in the old girl.
