Saving train positions after exiting driver

Hi;
I was trying to move some trains off of tracks I need to do work on (cannot modify splines while trains are around<g>), so I decided to make a move in driver.
I did everything I wanted to do, saved the driver session, then exited driver.
Now, all the trains are back where they were to start with...
How do I keep the positions I moved them to in driver?

Thanks

FW

Hi FW,

I'm not sure that you can make those moves stick in Driver mode and I think that you will have to do this in Surveyor, make your changes to the splines or whatever, return the consists to their right place and then save the whole lot. However there may be a way to do this in Driver that I am unaware of so someone else may be able to jump in here!

Cheers
Russell.

A saved session can only be open in Driver, not in Surveyor. I Surveyor all consists will be in their starting positions. In a Session, all consists will be in the position where they were when you saved it.

Thanks guys;
I guess I have to spare the extra realism while doing track work<g>
It was fun though. Had to do several reverse moves to pick up all the cars and take them away.

You could use Driver to plan where you'll put the trains while you work in Surveyor. That's one of the the excuses I use.
"I'm not playing, I'm just testing the route while working hard."

what you could do is save the consist in surveyor, name it consist 1 for instance. then delete it from the route, do the trackwork, then put the consist back on track.
