Save/Restore Local file

Evening everyone,

Now i always make a backup of my Local file every month ....and do a reinstall of TS10 now and again..
All has always ran smooth and all restored to what was there before.

I did this by going through CM /file/import content/Saved Local File

But this time i did a reinstall i found on some of my items i had to download some dependencies and on some trains and wagons
that i had repaired needed repairing again.

This also applied to some routes missing many dependencies.

I had always thought that saving the Local file kept everything...all dependencies and alterations to trains wagons etc.

Am i wrong in what i'm doing and thinking??

If you are using TS2009 SP4 or TS2010, the Original folder also has to be backed up.

Hi Shane,
So are you saying not to save the Local folder but to save the Original folder?

EDIT i am using trainz 10

You will need to backup both folders, as the original folder contains unmodified downloaded content and the Local folder contains created/modified content.

But boy do i wish i knew that before now :'( had around 20GB in original folder...

O well ..good learning curve :hehe:
