Save loads on consists?

Was just wondering, when I save a consist, let's say, "US Mixed Freight", is it possible to save the loaded or unloaded status within the consist when I save it? So far, the consists are placed as empty, reguardless of if they were loaded or empty when saved.

Thx

I was Wondering The Same Thing, Mainly Because Its A Pain To Load Huge Intermodal Trains Car By Car.

I posted this same question a few weeks ago and got several helpful answers. Unfortunately the short answer is no. You can save a consist in surveyor, but when you place it or spawn it out of a portal it will be empty. There are 2 solutions. If you just want a loaded train to haul use the Instant Load Command. The train will load with default loads.
If you want specific loads, you will need to place and program a Multiple Industry New track at some location, drive your train there and it will load the cars with the loads you want. Conrail you are very new and probably have no idea what I am talking about. MIN is a bit complex but there is an excellent tutorial here:http://members.westnet.com.au/nightcrawler/trainz/index.htm.
Hope this helps

Here goes a variation of this theme: You load the cars, run the train and save the session. Next day you open the session and look at the cars.. loaded? Some of them show no load! but even if you don't see it, they are loaded !? Not all of them though, containers may show visually, but some coal cars appear empty even if the commodity detail show they are loaded. Am I the only one with this problem?

Thanks for the help dej! Currently what I'm doing is starting a train right before a basic portal, then giving it the "navigate to" command to the portal. I have the portal set up to load empties and unload loaded cars. This seems to work, only problem is, with a long train it takes a while, and by just placing the cars without any loads, they all come out of the portal loaded, which is not nessessarily prototypical. I do like the "instant load" command, I'll give that a shot and see how that works.

Thanks!

An alternative is to clone the wagons in CM then edit the config.txt file so that it is loaded with the required load/s and rename them according to the load. Then make a consist of these wagons for emitting from portals or adding to your route. The consist can of course contain loaded and unloaded wagons as desired.

Or you could use instant load command (kuid2:67585:1017:1) by giving the driver instant load command when you start. This will load the cars the first default product of a car.
