Sanbox Mode

I keep reading about the fact that you can place a train of your choosing in any route by going to sandbox mode. How do you do that? I can't find sandbox mode listed in any menu that I've found... Help!!!

Go to the session page of the route. Then in the top left corner you will find a "Create Session" button. Hit that. You can now add stuff to the map, like all the rolling stock you want. Save that and play your own free-format / sandbox session.

Edit:
Thats for TS12 btw... no clue if 2010 works the same.

Use the rolling stock fly out menu to place whatever locomotives and cars on the tracks you want, where you want. You can then travel to other parts of the map to add carriages to sidings, or other trains to the mainline that will meet or pass your train. When you make up a consist or two that you like, be sure to save them as named consists, so that you can use them later without building them.
You can use the rules menu to add commands to the drivers of each train as you wish.
