S1b Niagaras - I can't find them!

I was just wondering if I could get some clarification as to where NYC's 4-8-4 Niagaras ran, and what they would pull. Every source I look at has been giving me conflicting data. Any info is greatly appreciated.

The Niagaras mainly ran between Harlem, NY and Chicago, Ill. They could haul just about anything from long freights to fast passenger trains. They were powerful enough to equal 3 E-Units.
They were classed with the S-1a's. There were 26 of them but in 1945-1946. Some weren't retired until 1956.
