Routes

In any of the "Routes" that came with Trainz 2010, the hills and mountains are shown however none of the scenery is shown and all of the rail or track is shown as white dashed lines. What can be done so it all looks correct?

Can we see some computer and game build info please? We can't do anything without some info. Is compatiblity mode on?

Processor-Intel core i3
Ram-6.00 GB
System type 64 bit OS windows 7
Nvida Geforce 9500 GT

I'm not sure what kind of info you need for game build info.
I do appreciate your help.

The white dashed lines means the assets which depict track are unavailable. Open ContentManager (CMP), find the routes with the problems, and right-click it and select View Dependencies. Does anything come up as faulty? If it's faulty, it will have a red exclamation point next to it. It's also possible the missing assets might not be installed though I don't see how that would happen if you're only working with built-in routes. Post back here with your results.

You must make sure you do a extended database repair - click file then extended database repair then all will be solved. It takes around an hour without any other assets downloaded.

I have used both Direct x and open gl. I will attempt the content manager (CMP) and also extended Database repair. I report asap.

I assume you have toggled off the "favorites' star on the menu page, you don't have any content open for edit, and you haven't disabled any content?

It's fairly un-intuitive, it's a yellow star on the routes menu page, and in Railyard. I don't have my PC with trainz installed right now, or I would be more detailed.

That's the latest build minus multiplayer beta, so you should be okay there. Do you have any content in CM3 open for edit, or disabled?

I'm sorry this is like pulling teeth, but so many things can go wrong...

No All I've done so far is install the game 4 or 5 days ago. I used all 4 tutorial's, and then went into "routes' and selected a route to run. It would be nice to talk to the game manufacture but they are slow to respond to email and no phone number is listed.

Okay, should I assume then that you haven't added any content to the game?

Let's try a diagnostic test: look in your Auran/2010 directory and find the Bin folder. Open and look for Trainz Diag file and run it. Please copy and paste results here. Thanks.
