How do you put a pic where a route is??? Like this one here for the CN Holly Sub has a CN pic on the right??

Also where do you edit the description for the route at???

I too have wondered about this. I have several routes off the DLS that I have modified in some way, and when I modify a route, the picture disappears when loaded up again in Trainz. Shot in the dark, but isn't in the "thumbnail" tag you apply in ccp? Haven't really done much in the way of content creation so...

Both are in the config.txt file for the Route (or Session). I don't use CCP, but it is the thumbnails entry in the config file that does the picture and the description entry (strange at it may seem) for the description. You can also enter/edit the description in Surveyor. Take a look at the config.txt file for the CN Holly Sub in your example to see the format for the thumbnails entry.

When I created routes in TRS2004, although a config file was created automatically and the description could be added when creating or amending the route in Surveyor, the thumbnail had to be added manually. I have not as yet tried this in 2009 or 2010, but assume that the process is the same.

Any screenshot taken in the route could be included as the thumbnail if edited to the correct size.

First take a screen shot, get it out of your user data in the trainz folder. open in a paint program, and resize it. Send to desk top.Make a note of screen shot name. Now go into CMP right click on the asset you want to add the thumbnail to go down to edit, edit in explorer, when window open drag your screen shot in the list. Now the Config file double click on it open to max.if you have the information of thumbnail then just add the name of your screen shot.

The correct thumbnail size for routes and sessions is 512 X 512.

Thank you, John, for adding the correct size for the thumbnail in a route config - I had (temporarily) forgotten what it was.

Anyone interested in doing this should note that a TS2010 screenshot is 1280 x 1024, so although it can be halved as far as height is concerned, it is necessary to select an area 1024 wide by the full original height and make this a new image before scaling it down to 50% 'all round' - ie. keeping the same ratio. As far as I can remember (it's some time ago) screenshots in TRS2004 were the correct ratio.
