Route orientation

Hi all, just wondering if its possible to change the orientation of a route. I'm trying to merge to routes together, but could do with slewing one of the routes around by 90 degrees. Was just wondering if it was possible to edit the route beforehand, I've had a play around but cant seem to manage it... Thanks in advance

Hi LLANBDARN,

Not possible, once a route is laid it can't be turned around. You could possible do this by using copy and past but there would still be lots of items to reposition, roads etc. to repair and it would be a long process.

In what way was it built wrong to start with?

It's usually an orientation issue, although I did use the wrong word in my last post. The important thing is for a route creator to build their route in the correct direction from the start as they cannot rotate it later.

This is true, however, since there is no way a route builder can know who may want to merge their route with another at a future date, the "correct" direction is a matter of chance....

That's true - it can be costly though in terms of time if it turns out to be the wrong direction though, as it involves quite a bit of rebuilding and adding/deleting baseboards.
