Route Causing Trainz To Crash?

I Just Downloaded And InStalled The Coxton Yards Route From The DLS. (Coxton Yards,<kuid:61418:100019>) I'm Running Trainz 2009 Build #44653, When I Go To Load This Route It Crashes Trainz To The Desktop. Any Ideas On Why It's Doing This And Only For This Route?

Why Would That Cause A Crash? I Have No Missing Dependencies Or Anything.

Not all faults are picked up by content manager, probably a corrupt asset, I think Shane may know a couple of rogue items that can cause this, afraid I forgot what they were.

Scripted items in the route its self, or something in the session that's causing problems.

If the route opens fine in Surveyor, I would create a new session and see if that fixes the problem.

I can't even get it to open into surveyor, I click on it, it goes to the loading screen then a few seconds later it crashes to the desktop....

This is the Very First Post.....:hehe:

I had this problem with a very old route and solved the problem as follows;

I first installed the cdp into 2006. It opened in surveyor so I then 'removed missing assets' and then 'save as' the route under a new name. This removed any assets which may have been faulty although not showing faulty in Content Manager and increased the build number. I then made a new cdp with 2006.

I then imported this new cdp into 2009. This time it opened in surveyor so I repeated the process of 'remove missing assets' and 'save as' under a new name in 2009.

This process updates the build numbers of the route in stages up to whatever build number your 2009 is using and removed any assets trainz had been unable to load when opened. After that process I was able to use the route as normal and create new sessions for it.

I have also used the same approach to update an old route made for trainz 1.3 all the way up to use it in TS12.

Yep, I don't have 2006 and no longer have 2004 installed, but the first thing I noticed in this route is it's 1.3, has coxton yard.bmk and coxton yard.trk instead of the usual mapfile.bmk and mapfile.trk files. Crashes both 2009 and 2010, renaming the files still crashes, creating a new route and replacing the four files still crashes, so whatever it is ain't easily fixable without an earlier version.
