Rogue track

Hi all,
I have recently acquired a length of rogue invisible track for unknown reasons and can't get rid of it in Surveyor. This piece of invisible track straightlines a slight curve going onto a bridge over the road and has two unwanted effects. Firstly the train using this stretch of line will follow the invisible track in preference to the regular track (looks weird!) and secondly it interferes with the signal system as it won't show a clear track (possibly because of the two tracks in the same place?) to any train running under AI. All this occurs just after leaving an island station on a single line track where the track returns to single line (joins here with the invisible track) after splitting for the platforms.
I have tried every way I know of to delete the offending piece but cannot budge it and even resorted to seeking out the kuid in the config. file and removing it for no result. I have removed other bits of scenery, track etc to try to get a clear go at it but again no result. How it got to be there is a mystery as I have not used invisible track, especially on this layout as it is not one I have done myself. The backup copy of this map does not have this problem.
I am doing all this in TRS2004 running with XP Home SP3. I am hoping that someone has had a similar problem in the past and has found a way to deal with it and would be willing to share the knowledge? Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers
Russell.

It might have become a scenery spline instead of a piece of track like powerlines, fences and roads. So I'd try to delete it from that category instead.

Good luck,

John

A quick fix that's likey to work is to put a points lever there and switch the points, then delete the lever again, and then trains should continue on the normal track rather than the invisible one.

With a little inspiration from the two quick replies I think I have got a suitable work-around for this problem. What I have done is rework the track and rebuilt the bridge so that there is now no connection with the invisible track. A couple of test runs in both directions have shown a good result with both trains passing the problem area.
The whole problem seemed to center around the invisible track's connection with the original bridge!

Cheers
Russell.
