its missing the EMD SD9 Cab files?

Hi, it’s better you register your game or people will not answer to people having an illegal copy but if you’re having troubles contact the support by submitting a ticket

Welcome to the forums Steve.

Where did you purchase your content?

If you open up Content Manager (manage content on the launcher), choose faulty after everything loads. This will display anything that's missing or broken and needs fixing.

If your locomotive appears in the list, this will explain why you can't find it installed in-game.

The status will show you what's wrong, such as missing dependencies, for example. This information will determine what you need to do next.

For missing assets, right-click and choose download to pull in anything from the Download Station (aka DLS for short), or you may need to install another content pack (cdp file) containing the extra parts.

If the status shows faulty, then right-click on the asset and choose View Errors and warnings. Among all the text will be the actual error including information about missing assets.

If you need help with the information, highlight the information, copy it and paste it here and we can assist you.

Sorry to bother you guys, But I found my solution. Sorry, I am a noob in the digital train world.

Steve,

You're not bothering us and everyone is a noob especially with this stuff. You have just barely scratched the surface of a very addicting program that will take up hours of your time, and leave you thinking about stuff 24/7/365.

It's great that you've asked questions, and you'll find yourself busy with this new hobby for times to come. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want and someone here will assist you.

By asking questions, you will grow with the hobby and your skills will improve. At your fingertips is more than just a train driving game. Once you've gone through the built-in routes and the tutorials, I highly recommend investigating Surveyor. Your very first attempts may not be stellar, but everyone starts somewhere. What's good about these beginnings no waste except for the hour or so you put in fiddling around. This is one of the biggest virtues including the fact that one can build the layout of their dreams, and spend years working on it. Unlike other games/programs, we have the great advantage of moving older content along to newer versions, though, this has it's issues, but how else can a route created in December 2003 still be able to work in T:ANE.

There are many other aspects including script writing, and content-creation.

As one longtimer said: Trainz isn't a game, it's a way of life.
