One thing to be aware of though. You may not be able to upload anything to the Download Station using your TS2009 version, as anything older than TS12 in PC terms is no longer supported.

not an issue i am planning to get trainz 12 anyway. but lets kickstart those engines and get to work.

Before buying TS12, be aware a new version (Trainz: A New Era) is scheduled to be released the end of this year.
