Resurrecting old Threads

We need one of these around to break the serious stuffiness which has descended on the forums again.

John

Yeah, but even that would be old hat.

What used to drive the Trainz forum was innovation, showing what Trainz could do, rather than moaning about what it can't.

Or perhaps after 1.5M posts people are finding answers to the real questions leaving moaning about things as the only new topic. Perhaps we need to have a "fresh" forum that has no history at all and archive this old beast ;)

Ah, another hard drive crash coming eh? ;)

Sadly, I guess it's too many of the posters who carry the baggage as well.

Dang, that means we'd have to start all over again and rebuild our post counts! :)

Tony,

An excellent idea !!
Just find some forum software that actually has a usable search function !!

a thread i think would do good with resurrecting is oknotsens project thread abandoned 2 years ago and he would probably be not happy with me if i was to bump it aka oknotsen should start making things again for example he has some good routes on the DLS
normally 2year old thread + bump = thread locked + gets a warning

Sometimes.

Last night via google, I was looking at a 7 year old thread, and combing through it. I was looking for something. Last post was 2012, and our friend dundunwhatever made a totally irrelevant post about his challenger project. The thread was four years dead and his post had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the thread.

Just sayin.
The post was not about the challenger project(my brother and I use the same account, so I don't know why he posted it).
