Reskins with TRS12 for mac

Hi all,
I have been using TRS for mac for a while and am wondering how I can reskin in the CMP, as it's hugely different from the windows trainz CMP. I'm also having issues with LOTS of missing dependencies, but that's a different issue. I plan to reskin with GIMP. What's the suggested process?;)

OPen for editing, copy and paste the editing folder, and edit that (make sure you change the KUID), then drag it into CMP.
Also it's actually TRS2010 for mac, so TS12 assets won't work.

Thanks very much
Do you mean change the build number when you say change the KUID? I dont think I can change the KUID.....

Is there a clone asset option?

This would create a new asset with your KUID out of the existing one. You can then edit the new one without affecting the original.

Thanks,
I dont think in the mac version there is an option for cloning. I can open it for editing though.

I know I shouldn't respond to thread posts that are a few years old, but I haven't seen any other threads that really address the Cloning terms for Mac since Mac doesn't have that word in its Trainz database. The Mac term for "Clone Asset" is either "Duplicate" or "Duplicate Asset". As for "Edit In Explorer" that too isn't in Mac because again it's a PC term. The Mac term is "Edit In Finder". This will put the Kuid Folder on your Desktop. You can take it from there. Once you are done reskinning whatever it is you are reskinning and you save the Asset, click on the "Submit Edits" which is the Mac term for the "Commit" option on PC. - RR1970

You answered a 5 years old thread congrats buddy

Yea I know. I had to. Hopefully my answer helped if the Mac user hasn't found the answers yet or figured things out. Reskin Tutorials on the Net are for PC only. My answer is also for any possible inquiries by any Mac users in the future.
