Requesting a Locomotive?

Hello. I know that usually locomotive requests are usually looked down upon, but would there be anybody willing to make the locomotive Lovett Ames? It was a 4-2-2 locomotive ordered by Reading, but they could not afford it. Baldwin sold it to Westinghouse, where it was used to demonstrate the air brake. I would be willing to pay for it.

Just something I wanted to add, if somebody does make this, can it be modified with knuckle couplers instead of link and pin?

farecoal.....is this the only loco of this type, meaning a large wheel? I have searched the DLS pretty thorough and cannot find one that looks like it. I know nothing about trains but love them just the same. I would love to find one to put in my TRS2004 or TRS2006, which I finally got up and running.

Yeah, I haven't seen any other single wheelers other then the Stirling Single, which is a British 4-2-2.

This beauty: :D

If anybody is willing to make this loco for me, freeware or payware, they should send a PM to me, or send an email

Casey,
It's not a good idea to put your e-mail address in an open public forum. The community can PM (personal message) you or E-mail you without you having to put your e-mail address for all to see. You could end up getting about 34800 spams over the next few days. :hehe: Good luck in acquiring the loco.
Cheers, Mac...

Does any one have any suggestions about suitable bogeys?

Does any one have any drawings or plans?

If we're really lucky any one got a Blender source of a US steam loco that could be modified?

Thanks John

The only evidence of this locomotive is a picture I have in a book, and that online drawing. I not sure where plans are though.

We really need plans to progress. This is known as the research bit, takes about 30% of the time to make a model.

Cheerio John
